Grooming Reports

Send something they actually open before pickup.

Before-and-after photos, a scored health check and the notes your groomer wrote — wrapped in a report signed with your shop name. It builds trust while the dog is still on your table, and gives the owner a clear reason to come back.

  • Before-and-after photos alongside what your groomer actually found
  • Structured health check scored 1–5, with red flags called out
  • Pre-wash findings and after-groom notes kept as two distinct sections

Evidence

Proof, not adjectives.

Two photos and a description of what was found and what was done. Owners can see the difference instead of taking your word for it, and complaints about what the groom did are much easier to answer with a picture.

  • Before and after photos stored with the visit
  • Notes written at the table, not reconstructed later
  • Products and next-visit advice included
  • Everything attached to that specific visit

Health check

Nine areas, scored honestly.

The health check runs through coat, ears, nails, teeth, behaviour and more, scored 1–5. Anything your groomer looked at but deliberately did not score stays blank rather than being recorded as a zero — so a missing score never reads as "this dog scored nothing".

  • Scored 1–5 across standard health areas
  • Unscored stays blank, never a false zero
  • Findings can be flagged for the owner to act on
  • Add your own groups for things you check every time

Two halves

What you found before the wash stays separate from what happened after.

Pre-check findings are recorded before anyone gets wet, and the completion notes describe the result. Keeping them apart means a record of "she arrived matted" cannot be overwritten by "she looks lovely now" — both halves survive.

  • Pre-check recorded before the groom starts
  • Completion notes describe the result
  • Neither section overwrites the other
  • Both readable in the report clients see

Delivery

One report, four places it can be read.

Write it once and it renders the same way everywhere it matters — in your own dashboard, in the client portal the owner can open at midnight, in their inbox, and on paper if anyone asks. Same content, always signed with your shop’s name.

  • Same report in dashboard, portal, email and print
  • Clients can check it themselves any time
  • Signed with your shop name and contact details
  • Recommended next-visit note for the owner

Feature detail

More than a photo. A record of what you actually did.

Every piece below is standard behaviour in PawFora today.

Before & after photos

Attach both photos to the visit so owners can see what the groom achieved rather than reading about it.

Scored health check

Standard areas scored 1–5, with anything deliberately left unassessed recorded as blank instead of zero.

Findings flagged

Mark what an owner should watch or get checked — teeth, ears, skin — and it surfaces in the report.

Your own check groups

Add extra groups for things your shop always checks; clients never see which ones were custom.

Signed by your shop

Reports carry your shop name and contact details, not our branding.

Book the next visit

The report can carry a recommended next-visit note, and the owner books through your normal booking page.

Why PawFora

Paper notes cannot build trust at scale.

Paper card or notebook

Cheap, forgettable
  • Nobody keeps it until next time
  • Handwriting nobody else can read
  • Not available when the owner asks at 9pm
  • Nothing to point at when there is a complaint

A quick text message

Fast, but disappears
  • Lost in the thread by tomorrow
  • No photos attached to the visit
  • No structure, no health record
  • Rebooking means starting over

PawFora

Included with your shop
  • Structured report with photos, scores and findings
  • Available in your dashboard, the portal, email and print
  • Pre-check findings kept separate from results
  • Signed by your shop, easy to share with the owner

Common questions about grooming reports

Do pet parents see the health scores?
Yes. The report the owner reads includes the health check with its scores and any flagged findings.
What if my groomer looked at something but chose not to score it?
It stays blank rather than being recorded as zero, so it never reads as a deliberate low score.
Is pre-wash information kept separate?
Yes. Pre-check findings and after-groom results are stored as two distinct sections of one report.
Whose name appears on it?
Your shop’s. Reports are never branded with PawFora — including the emailed and printable versions.
Can clients open it later?
Yes. Owners can open reports through their own portal whenever they like, including from past visits.
Can we add our own checks?
Yes. Add extra check groups for anything your shop always looks at — clients simply see the list of checks.
